The Worcester Men of Song

The 60th Annual Show was held at Mechanics Hall, and by any standard of measure, it was a huge success. The hall was nearly sold out, the audience was warm and appreciative, the brass quintet "epic brass" was superb, and the Wachusett Honors Choir was absolutely outstanding!

There is always a potentital danger having the Wachusett folks share our stage, because with their talent, training and skill; they are apt to steal the show.

Knowing this, the Men of Song Chorus had added encouragement to be at its best, and it was! Not only was the chorus finely tuned, but so too were the five Chapter quartets that performed.

As the audience was leaving and being met and thanked by the chorus members, one oft repeated comment was, "This was the best show you have ever done!"

There may have even been on additional incentive to perform at the highest levels. Several months ago we planned to have this show televised as a Christmas Special. With that in mind, we were very fortunate that the show was videotaped by a four-camera-crew from Charter TV3 for a production that will be broadcast into their more than 80,000 subscribers' homes during December. The one-hour, abbreviated version of the show will be broadcast twenty-seven times in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
